Although eight decades have passed since the original building stood in the form of a seaplane terminal for Pan American Airlines, the newly renovated Miami City Hall maintains its splendor and retains its architectural style.  Completed in 2006, the building underwent structural repairs and internal restoration which resulted in the 2008 Preservation Award from the Dade Heritage Trust.  Currently housing bustling state-of-the-art meeting spaces for City Government, we refer you to http://www.ci.miami.fl.us/press/pressreleases/miami/City%20Hall%20History.asp
