                            Stephen Placido, Jr.

Mr. Placido concentrates his expertise between Theatre Consulting and Theatre Design. As a Consultant to the South Florida Broadway Series, Mr. Placido provides technical assistance to the touring productions of "The Who's Tommy", "The Secret Garden", "Will Rogers Follies", "Cats", "The Phantom of the Opera", "Les Miserables" and other Broadway shows seen at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, The Jackie Gleason Theatre, Parker Playhouse, and Poinciana Playhouse. As a member of the United Scenic Artists local #829, he has designed the scenery for over eighty theatrical productions in South Florida.

He has twice been awarded the "South Florida Entertainment Writers' Association Award" (the Carbonell) for his scenic designs of "Mass Appeal" directed by Burt Reynolds and "Brighton Beach Memoirs" directed by Ruth Foreman. Mr. Placido's work has also been seen in the Victor Nunez Motion Picture "A Flash of Green", starring Ed Harris and Blair Brown.
